The best reward for giving to Northwestern is knowing your generosity makes our standout Christian education possible for more students to experience. It's our honor to celebrate you at special events and to recognize donors for their lifetime giving, future gift commitments, and annual contributions.

Every year, those who have established scholarships at Northwestern—whether individuals, businesses or churches—are invited to campus to meet the students who are benefiting from their generosity. Donors hear about the hopes and dreams of those impacted by their gifts, and students have the opportunity to thank their scholarship donors in person.

Northwestern's Celebration Banquet is a special evening for alumni and friends, during which the college honors its many supporters and celebrates its successes. The banquet is held during Raider Nation Celebration, Northwestern's Homecoming and Family Weekend.

The Heemstra Roll of Honor consists of those who have faithfully contributed to Northwestern College for 20 or more consecutive years. It is named for Jacob Heemstra, the college's first president, and his wife, Hannah, who were persistent and unwavering in their dedication to NWC.

The vast majority of gifts to Northwestern come from people who give $1,000 or more in a single fiscal year to any Northwestern cause.

Individuals, businesses and churches that contribute at least $1,000 to the Northwestern Fund in unrestricted annual gifts are members of the college's Tower Society. Their donations help reduce the cost of a Northwestern education by $1,200 per student.

The Heritage Society includes all who have provided for Northwestern College in their estate plans or by establishing an endowed scholarship.

Donors who have reached specific milestones in their lifetime cumulative giving, ranging from at least $25,000 to more than $5 million, are honored as members of Northwestern's Geven Society. "Geven" is the Dutch word for "giving."
